GROWTH CAMP

18 march to 20 march

On the 18 march 2008, i went to a MOE campsite in Jalan Bahtera. That place was sweet. It was the first time i attend growth camp outside school. I was thrilled with excitement and joy. When we reached there, we were introduced to our instructors. My instructor's name is Travis. All the instructor know me because my cousin is one of the instructor too. But fortunately, they did not pin point on me. Most of our activities was outdoors, but due to wet weather, we were told to do wet weather programmes. Luckily, our instructor was well prepared. We learn lots of songs and cheers. We challenged other teams, see whose voice and team spirit was better. We sleep in huts in the night and we can hear lots of creatures making noises. Creatures such as frogs, lizards, insects, etc.

The next day, we went to do our daily stuffs and feeling energize. Today is the day that we kayak. When we heard this good news, we jumped for joy and out spirit was at tip top condition. Sadly, due to the bad weather, we were unable to kayak. Our spirits dampened when we heard the bad news. What an unlucky day. Later the rain subsided. To our surprised, we were told that we were able to kayak. We rushed to change and wear our gear and head towards the kayaking station. We took our kayak and head to sea. We could see other country from there. What a spectacular view. We kayak happily and time really fly. We head back to shore and took our bath. We quickly make our dance and then we must perform later at the campfire. Although there are quarrels and other dispute, we persevere and carry on. The campfire came. We were excited, when is our turn? when is our turn? Finally, it is our turn. We gave whatever we got and we show our true colours. Soon the campfire was put out. We head back to our hut and sleep.

The last day had arrived. We miss our instructor deeply. Travis was a good instructor. He teaches us lots of morale value. We leave the place and wave good bye to our instructor. We had a great time at the 3 day 2 night camp. What a GROWTH CAMP......
